The eNGO Challenge aspires to create an ecosystem by recognizing and honouringNGOs which are using Information Communication Technology (ICT) and digital media tools for good governance and practices that are benefiting societies and communities at large. It is a joint initiative of Public Interest Registry (PIR) and Digital Empowerment Foundation (DEF).
Definition of ICT& digital media tools: In the context of the eNGO Challenge, ICT (Information and Communications Technology – or Technologies) is understood to include any communication device (standalone or connected)or application, such as: mobile phones, Internet, wireless and or wired network, video-conferencing, audio conferencing, printer, scanner, e-mails, other online/offline interactions and use of website and social media.
